Mission Statement

FedTrust FCU is a cooperative institution formed for the purpose of encouraging savings, offering loans and providing a wide range of financial and related services to its members at competitive rates.

Membership

FedTrust Federal Credit Union, formally Federal Building Federal Credit Union, has been serving members since 1959.  We were originally chartered to serve employees and retirees of the U.S. Federal Government and their immediate families. Over the years, we have grown to accept a wide variety of employee groups who have requested to join our field of membership.

Field of Membership

Joining has never been easier

Our credit union membership is only available to the employees and retirees of the U.S. civilian federal government and select employee groups.  Once you become a member of our credit union, your immediate family members are also eligible to join.

Members of our family benefit from the following:
· Personalized, courteous service
· Low interest rates
· Low, or no, service fees

Once you become a member, you are allowed to retain your membership, even if you change companies!

An eligible applicant may open a share savings account by completing a membership application and making an initial deposit of $5.  We will need to make a copy of the applicant's social security card and government issued picture ID.  If the address on the picture ID is not the current address, we will also need proof of address for the applicant.

A FedTrust Federal Credit Union membership gives you something you can’t get from a bank: Ownership.  As a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative, our earnings are returned to members in the form of low-cost loans, higher yields on savings, and free or low-cost services.
